Tour of Hobbiton
Welcome to the Hobbiton movie set... well almost.
I got to go on a 2 hour walking tour of the Hobbiton set in New Zealand back in mid April 2016. This day for be began waking up at Lake Taupo Top 10 Holiday Resort and once ready checked out Huka Falls well worth the visit.
Next stop on the way to Rotorua was a visit to some fantastic smelling boiling mud pools, smell was not that bad until the steam/smoke engulfed you.
Next stop was to see Pohutu Geyser at Te Puia in Rotorua.
Then to end the day Hobbiton!
There were lot of tour groups and people everywhere. My aim was to try to get photos without anyone in them, waiting for groups/people to disappear behind trees/hills, the detail of this place is amazing and a must see when in the area, to top it all off you get a free drink at a replica of The Green Dragon Inn use in the Lord of the Rings and Hobbit movies.
