Waiting for Light

Had a couple of nights in Beechworth this weekend and on the last morning I woke around 40 min before sunrise and decided to stay up and head out to catch the sunrise. I walked halfway round Lake Sambell to try my luck at a location I found the previous day then it was a matter of waiting for the light to hit.

I waited around 40 minutes for the amazing golden light to illuminate my scene, well worth the wait! It's amazing what the right light can do for an image. This is one part of photography that I love, same scene but from the light alone a completely different feel to the end product.

Both images were captured with an Olympus EM-5 Mk1 (getting old) and the Olympus M.Zuiko 12-40mm 2.8 pro and both hand held replying on my stability but more the 5 axis of the camera. Part way round the lake I thought that I should have bought my CLP with me but I didn't have time to go back and get it. Because I wanted the reflection it wasn't necessary anyway.
