One reason I shoot RAW!
Shooting RAW blows my mind at times!
I am just amazed at how much details I can get from the Olympus RAW file when I thought there was no hope!
From RAW to final edit in Adobe Lightroom
The scene was closer to that on the right of the before and after image above at the time of capture but not quite as vibrant. I knew what I wanted to do in post so I made sure to keep the exposure even so I could bring out the details in the highlights and shadows and concentrated on the composition.
It was mostly the reflection of the sunset on the cement path that caught my eye whilst looking for an interesting angle. The sunset at this time of year is more to the left of the cathedral so a front on shot is not ideal but can give you a 50/50 split in the sky of warm oranges and cool blues like below.
Shot a little earlier than the photo above, will have to shoot another time of year to get the sunet more behind the cathedral.
